Hosting a Zoom Webinar: A Step-by-Step Tutorial
Introduction
Digital presentations, seminars, and workshops are growing increasingly popular. With the pandemic continuing to spread, more and more people are turning to online platforms like Zoom to host their events. Zoom is a reliable, user-friendly platform, making it the perfect choice for webinar hosting. In this article, we’ll provide a step-by-step tutorial on how to host a webinar on Zoom.
Step 1: Create a Zoom Account (If You Don’t Already Have One)
If you don’t already have a Zoom account, you’ll need to create one. To do this, visit the Zoom website and click “Sign Up, It’s Free.” You will be asked to provide your name, email address, and password. Once you’ve filled out the required information, you’ll be asked to confirm your account via email.
Step 2: Set Up Your Webinar
Once you’ve created your account, it’s time to set up your webinar. To do this, log into your account and click the “Webinar” tab. Here, you can select the type of webinar you’d like to host and set up a time, date, and length for the event. You can also add an event description, set up registration options, and customize your webinar.
Step 3: Invite Attendees
Once your webinar is set up, you can begin inviting attendees. To do this, click “Invite & Remind” at the top of the page. This will open a new window where you can enter the email addresses of the people you’d like to invite. You can also customize the invitation, including adding a personalized message.
Step 4: Start Your Webinar
When the time of your webinar arrives, you’re ready to start. To do this, log into your Zoom account, select the webinar, and click “Start.” You’ll be taken to the webinar page, where you can manage attendees, turn on the video, and chat with participants. You can also use the “Share” button to share your screen with attendees.
Step 5: End Your Webinar
When your webinar is finished, you can end it by clicking “End Webinar” at the top of the page. You can also use the “Record” button to save a recording of your webinar. Once you’ve ended the webinar, you’ll be taken to a “Webinar Summary” page, where you can view the number of attendees, the duration of the webinar, and the total number of views.
